KING OF THE ISLAND RULES:
This Spring season the Eleuthera Soccer club will follow a Dutch style of scoring to decide the most impactful players in each age division over the course of all games played. This style of play comes from the Dutch club AJAX playing multiple small sided games to determine a ‘KING OF THE ISLAND’. The Dutch style of scoring rewards individual points for team performance in small sided games of 3v3 to 5v5.
- Winner’s Points: Every player on a winning team receives 3 points per game.
- Goal Points: Every player on the team gets 1 point for every goal their team scores.
- Ties/Losses: No points are awarded for a win or loss, but players keep the points scored from goals in that game.
- Randomization: Teams are frequently shuffled after every game.
The Player with the highest total points after all matches in each age division will be crowned ‘KING OF THE ISLAND’
- Additional Rules: no offsides, no timeouts, no goalkeepers, all kick ins, subs on fly, can not enter goal box and indirect free kicks. Games 10-15 minutes and teams are mixed after each set of games
